HYT-TTP Newsletter March 2018

by Rabindra Sahu

Om Shri Gurubhyo Namah.

The international Teacher Training Program for Levels One and Two had 30 participants from 15 countries (Australia, Canada, China, Greece, Hungary, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Netherlands, South Africa, Taiwan, USA, UK, and Ukraine) during the March 11-24, 2018, retreat at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama (SRSG)Our Netherlands group joined the retreat with 6 participants for their “Special Teacher Training program” at SRSG. All these students had wonderful and fascinating ways in which they found about the tradition.

The varied study areas were covered by 12 dedicated faculties from 4 countries (Australia, Canada, India and USA).  The participants also got an opportunity to meditate with Swami Ritavan Bharati in the initiation room upstairs.

As part of the program all of us enjoyed the lecture on “Ayurveda, the Science of Life”, by Dr. Pratibha Mamgain at the Ayurveda Center of the Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust (HIHT). After which we proceeded to meditate near the Mahasamadhi room of Swami Rama at the Swami Rama Center. The participants had a pictorial glimpse of Swami Rama’s life in the Exhibition Hall.

This TTP was special in the sense that it coincided with the Navratri celebrations and Swami Veda’s birthday celebrations. As part of the Navratri celebrations, we had akhanda patha of the Lalita Sahasranama in the Ma Tara Temple, apart from daily morning and evening pujas. In spite of their very busy TTP schedule, the participants found time to join the recitation and pujas. The last day of the TTP coincided with Swami Veda’s birthday and we had akhanda japa of the Mahamrtyunjaya Mantra in the Shiva temple. It seems that after having completed their TTP retreat, the participants got the opportunity to show their gratitude towards Swami Veda on his birthday. It was the perfect way for them to begin their journeys as students of the Tradition.

All of us were reminded of Swami Veda Bharati-ji’s words – “Let every person feel loved” in the graduation ceremony. Swami Ritavan reminded us to “let our presence be an invitation to quietness and peacefulness”.

The next HYT-TTP is from November 11-24, 2018. To Register for Level One, go to www.hyt-ttp.com and choose “Student Application” under the topic “Teacher Training”. Then click submit.

If you have registered once, please do not register again. Contact at the hyt.ttp@gmail.com address and you will be guided to the next level.

Yours in Service,
Rabindra
