SUMMARY:Guru – Disciple Relationship
DESCRIPTION:In Honor of our beloved Swami Veda Bharati ji’s Mahasamadhi\n\nॐ गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णुर्गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः।\nगुरुः साक्षात्परं ब्रह्म तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः।। \nOm gurur brahmā gurur viṣṇur gurur devo maheśvaraḥ\,\nguruḥ sākṣāt paraṁ brahma tasmai śrī-gurave namaḥ. \nOm. To that beautiful and benevolent Guru who is Brahmā\, the Creator\, Viṣṇu\, the Maintainer\, and Śiva\, the Great Lord through whom all things return to their origin. To that Guru who is the direct experience of Brahman\, salutations. \nOn the most special occasion of our beloved founder Mahamandaleshwar Shri Swami Veda Bharati ji’s 11th Mahasamadhi Anniversary (14th July)\, let us come together to pay homage to the Guru Lineage on this special day and to recommit ourselves to the living current of the Guru–Disciple relationship. On the most auspicious day of 14 July 2026\, we will also hold a shraddhanjali and a bhandara in His loving remembrance. \nJoin us for this satsanga with Rabindra Sahu\, as we come together to delve deep into the meaning and significance of the Guru Prayer and the sacred relationship between a Guru and a disciple. \nIn our tradition\, the Mahasamadhi is the Guru’s final blessing—the moment of conscious departure\, when the physical form is shed and the master becomes a pure\, limitless stream of consciousness. From that stream\, the disciple may drink forever. \n“What is a Guru? A magnet. What is a disciple? A few needles.” — Swami Veda Bharati \nOn this sacred occasion of Swamiji’s Mahasamadhi\, let us come as needles to the magnet—not to grasp something new\, but to remember what has never been lost. \n\nRecommended Readings:\n\nBook – Guru Disciple Relationship Vol 1 by Swami Veda Bharati\nBook – Guru Disciple Relationship Vol 2 by Swami Veda Bharati\n\n\nRead More Information:\n\nAbout visiting the ashram – Accommodation\nAbout our other short-term upcoming events – Events\nAbout our ongoing short-term Ashram Immersion Program\nAbout how you may contribute towards the ashram – Donate

SUMMARY:Mahasamadhi Celebrations of Swami Veda Bharati
DESCRIPTION:In loving remembrance of our beloved founder Mahamandaleshwar Sri Swami Veda Bharati (1933- July 14\, 2015)\, we will gather at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama Ashram in Rishikesh to honor his luminous life and timeless teachings. \nSwami Veda Bharati ji was a rare Sanskrit scholar and a profound master of meditation\, who dedicated his life to spreading the wisdom of the Himalayan Tradition as taught by Gurudeva HH Swami Rama of the Himalayas across the world. His voice carried the essence of yoga and meditation into diverse cultures\, languages\, and faiths\, reminding us that meditation is the common ground of all religions. \nBorn into a Sanskrit-speaking family and raised in the centuries-old Vedic tradition\, Swami Veda began teaching the Yoga Sutras at the age of nine and the Vedas at eleven. His journey led him to guide meditation groups worldwide\, record thousands of hours of teachings\, and author authoritative commentaries on Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras\, along with several other books. He emphasized that yoga is samadhi\, and through his life’s work\, he revealed the universality of yoga as a science beyond boundaries of time\, geography\, and sectarianism. \nAs we commemorate the most auspicious occasion of his 11th Mahasamadhi day\, we invite you to join us in a warm gathering of remembrance and gratitude. Together\, let us celebrate his legacy\, reflect on his teachings\, and renew our commitment to the path of meditation and selfless service. May his light continue to guide us toward inner stillness and universal harmony.
