Swami Hari Bandhu Bharati

by Swami Prashant Bharati

Now we have one more Swami - Swami Hari Bandhu Bharati.

Swami Hariharananda Bharati (Swami Hari) had given a partial Sanyas to Hari Bandhu in 1999. Swami Veda, after observing very closely Hari Bhandu for 15 years, finally agreed to give him the complete Sanyaas Deeksha on 3rd July 2014 with the performance of a Yajña in Sadhana Mandir, with Hari Bhandu taking the Sanyas vows, and with the giving of the saffron robes and a shawl to him. These are the main parts of the Sanyas ceremony, the Sanyas Deeksha Mantra. svb [ed: Swami Veda] didn't change the name as it was given by Swami Hari. The shaving of the head also was not done as he is a Sikh from Punjab.

Swami Hari Bandhu Bharati is a retired Colonel of the Indian Army from Patiala, India.
