The Hour of The Goddessby Karin FiedlerNow, with the International Women’s Day coming up soon, we are bound to hear a lot about The “events” in Delhi during the second half of December last year could well be seen as a Writing on the Wall, calling our all attention to the fact that not only our cities but the entire world will become inapt for a decent, peaceful and productive living if this kind of social terrorism does not come to a halt. But are those who commit the crime(s) really totally to blame? No doubt, they are responsible for their action as such, but to blame? The hour has come to take an investigative look at the root cause of (all) this human misery in whatever field of human activity, being it economical, ecological, psychological, social, political, medical. I would trace this root to the disruption of a primordial balance, which must have existed at some point in history, may be even in pre-vedic times, a balance which is inherent in all kingdoms of nature (prakriti), or immediately restored when impaired, except in the Kingdom of Man. The continuing imbalance between the masculine and feminine principles, between the male and the female forces, between men and women can and is only being upheld and maintained by violence, violence from the most subtle to the most heinous form, or the threat thereof, 24/7, worldwide! This 24/7 violence jeopardizes every incentive and each attempt for betterment the very moment it sees the light of the day. This (the upholding of imbalance) is the real curse and the real tragedy of all patriarchically organized societies i.e. the present world wide state of affairs with only a handful exceptions - and which will almost inevitably lead to their extinction. The hour has come to finally question the Patriarchal Paradigm as such. This paradigm that makes humans believe that the masculine principle in form of the male gender, in shape of physical man/men, is by nature superior to woman/women, the female and the feminine principle itself. Spiritually speaking this is ultimate Ignorance, philosophically speaking this is adhering to a false premise. It could be compared to the belief that earth was flat or later on, that the Universe was geocentric. And as the earth never was flat and the Universe never geocentric, so the masculine principle never was/is inherently superior to the feminine principle. THEY ARE EQUAL IN FORCE! In the West this paradigm has brought forth its barren twin sons Capitalism and Communism (with all their varieties, though different in appearance, but not in kind)! Both these economic systems globally prevalent, each in their specific way, in places embittered fighting each other, in other places entering into an unholy marriage, but everywhere about to ruthlessly exploit the constituent elements of Life, viz. Earth/soil, Water, Fire/Energy, Air and Ether/Space herself, bringing the world to the brink of extinction Just consider how we treat the kingdom of plants, how we handle the animal kingdom. A historic irony of premier quality is that many former colonies of European powers after liberation wholeheartedly and unquestioning embraced either of these systems to run their economies and organize their societies. Would it be too farfetched to see this as a re-colonization “through the back door”, only to exploit their lost domains all the better? A peculiar curiosity is also that most so called traditional societies have no problem at all to embrace the latest gadget and fashion from “the West” but force their women to exist in an even pre-colonial-era manner… It is here in this planet wide pattern of violence against what is feminine, i.e. prakriti herself, where the specific violence against women comes in. I am not talking of the man versus woman dichotomy, of gender politics, which is tackling the problem on the grossest level only. Instead I refer to the meta level of consciousness where the masculine and feminine Principles reign. A change of consciousness is due, an effort to climb the next rung on the ladder of evolution. It was during my confinement to cottage 18 last April, before Swamiji was to embark on his grand worldwide tour, while thinking of the places he would visit, that the following invocation occurred. Now, in the wake of the Delhi “events” it has attained a yet deeper meaning… It is neither the wish for revenge nor the need for consolation, even less the desire for punishment that inspired those slokas. They came out of the conviction that it is only the Divine Mother Herself who at this moment of Time, out of Compassion and … yes, Love,… not for us women, but for those who commit the crime(s), can alter the course of things… The hour has come to will to open our eyes to see, to will to open our ears to hear, to will our aspiration meet the ever descending Grace of The Divine Mother.
Invocation of The Great MotherHoly Divine Mother…, Sri Mahashakti…, Mother of Life and Love… We, Woman of the World, come before you today… We come before you as Woman of India… We implore you, oh Mother, come to our aid… We come before you as Woman of Asia… We implore you, oh Mother, come to our aid… We come before you as Woman of the Great Central Plains of the Planet…. Everywhere we are subjected to cruel violence, yet in the Western part of this region we and our children are also abducted, kidnapped and sold to the flesh market of Europe and the Middle East. We implore you, oh Mother, come to our aid… We come before you as Woman of Africa… We implore you, oh Mother, come to our aid… We come before you as Woman of Europe, oh Mother… On our Eastern borders the trafficking of abducted women and children is biggest business, the brothels all over the continent flourish and pornography is corrupting the minds and hearts of men and young people alike… We, too, implore you, Mother, come to our aid… We come before you as Woman of The Americas… We implore you, oh Mother, come to our aid… We come before you as Aboriginal Woman of Australia and the Pacific… We implore you, oh Mother, come to our aid… Marshall Thy forces, oh Mother, in defense of Life and Love and Truth! Quake your body, oh Mother Earth, and tear down all Uglinesses… Restore Thy Primordial Balance, oh Great Mother … and reign supreme! OM.
