Spiritual aspirants are invited by Swami Rama Dhyana Gurukulam to receive the knowledge and practical disciplines of the Meditation Tradition of the great yogis of the Himalayas and practice it for self-transformation and Self-realization, the goal of life, the highest of all joys.   

The Himalayan tradition includes hundreds of the meditation paths leading to the Self of all, the source of Life, Consciousness and Bliss, taught systematically according to the state of the aspirant.

We teach hatha yoga in the context of meditation.

Here the practices of Patañjali’s Yoga Sutras and Tantrik Kundalini Yoga are traditionally rooted and given according to the state of the aspirant.  

Scriptures like Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads were acquired in samadhi or Self-realization. They are guides to the path of samadhi and their meaning can be comprehended in the realization of deep meditation. We teach these texts in the context of meditation practice.

The effects of meditation in our body and mind are also proven scientifically in the Meditation Research Institute, Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama.

School semester: 1st Oct. – 15th May 
Gurukulam Level I: One foundational semester.
Level II: Semester 2nd and 3rd 
Level III: Semester 4th and 5th
After completion of the first foundational semester, students can choose one of these three tracks:
1. Complete - Attending all classes.
2. Sewa - Supervised selfless service in the ashram.
3. Self-study and practice guided by a spiritual guide.   

The complete students are candidates to become teachers, leaders and spiritual guides in the tradition.

The Ashram has also sewa and self-study and practice programs independent from the Gurukulam.
