Love is a Song of the Nightingale

Nandini first met Usharbudh Arya in 1953 at her father’s rectory in Gloucestershire, England, where the young Sanskrit student was a regular visitor. Nandini was finally initiated into the Himalayan lineage by Swami Veda Bharati in February 1999 and since then has been a frequent visitor to Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama, completing a forty day silent retreat and giving classes in painting Mandalas. Her husband, Godfrey, and son, Charles, are also initiates.

Love is a Song of the Nightingale is Nandini’s fourth book, but the first to be published by AHYMSIN. It is a trilogy of mystical tales partly inspired by and located in SRSG itself. A rare treat for spiritual aspirants from all backgrounds, the stories draw on Nandini’s own mystical insights and portray spiritual truth mostly through a delightful interplay of animal characters cleverly interwoven between the stories.

Presented in a way which is easily readable, Love is a Song of a Nightingale is bound to delight and inspire. From the high Himalayan peaks to the holy Arunachala hill in Tamil Nadu, Nandini leads the reader across the sub-continent which is her spiritual home. This is a simple, heartfelt collection of tales which remind us of who we truly are. Children of all ages can assuage their thirst for the divine message by drawing from this well of truth and wisdom.
