Sewing Project

Priya Sarv Shree [Dear All],

Namaste.

As you all know one of the AHYMSIN objectives is to perform acts of charity for the benefit of humanity.

We are happy to inform you that Ahymsin Board of Directors and Small Effective Committee (SEC) have supported and approved to undertake a "Sewing Project - Khairikhurd Thakur". Under this project we shall help the village set up a training center and encourage women to be self employed. The details of the project are as follows:-

  1. Place: Khairikhurd Thakurpur, Rishikesh, India
  2. Purpose of the training center: To help build skills in the areas of sewing, stitching, embroidery, painting etc. and encourage women to be independent and self employed.
  3. Vision of the training center: improve the economical sustainability of the villagers
  4. Support provided: To begin with 6 sewing machines. AHYMSIN shall bear the associated cost as well.
  5. Enrolment: So far 25 women have come forward to benefit from this project.

This project is effective May 1st, 2013.
