Namaste! What a wonderful quotation from Swamiji! Thank you! The context of what he is saying about “learning to love one’s duty” pertains mostly to one’s family responsibilities and to one’s occupation. The point Swamiji frequently makes is not to dissipate one’s energy with contradictory thoughts (“I hate doing this, but I will anyway”), but to keep a focused, ekagra (one-pointed) sattvic mind.
