ॐ गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णुर्गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः।
गुरुः साक्षात्परं ब्रह्म तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः॥

Om gurur brahmā gurur viṣṇur gurur devo maheśvaraḥ,
guruḥ sākṣāt paraṁ brahma tasmai śrī-gurave namaḥ.

To that beautiful and benevolent Guru who is Brahmā, the Creator, Viṣṇu, the Maintainer, and Śiva, the Great Lord through whom all things return to their origin. To that Guru who is the direct experience of Brahman, salutations.

We bow our heads and gratefully offer our newest publication at the lotus feet of our Gurudeva, Swami Rama, our beloved saint Swami Veda Bharati, and the Guru Force – Guru-Disciple Relationship, Volume 1. This deeply personal and inspiring new book by Swami Veda was released on the most sacred day of the Guru Purnima (the day that is dedicated to honouring our spiritual masters who guide us on our path towards the eternal truth). The book was released by Swami Ritavan Bharati and the HYPT Trustees (Shreedhar Kamat, Narendra Pushkarna and Sadhana Mishra). This is the first book in the series of four books on the same title, which will also be released soon.

In Guru-Disciple Relationship, Volume 1, Swami Veda delves into the most profound, transformative and selfless relationship between a guru and a disciple. The book is very lovingly, carefully, and dedicatedly compiled by Rajini Prakash ji from over four decades of lectures by Swamiji on the topic where he shares his many experiences with his beloved Gurudeva Swami Rama of the Himalayas. Through many real-life stories, Swamiji offers illuminating insights and a deeper understanding into this sacred and timeless connection that is unlike any other spiritual, emotional, or practical relationship.

This book was a result of tireless hard work of many volunteers and the entire HYPT team in bringing forth these gems of Swami Veda’s teachings for the benefit of all of us.
