Zoom Workshop on “The Dhammapada”

The Dhammapada: Timeless Teachings of The Buddha
that Every Himalayan Yoga Student Should Know
The Dhammapada is a collection of gemlike sayings or aphorisms taught by The Buddha. These teachings are rich with wisdom and are not exclusive to Buddhism. Many of the same teachings were taught over the years by Swami Veda Bharati. By reading and contemplating these teachings, we learn about our own Tradition.
Although it may not be widely known, Buddha’s teachings are considered one of the sources of the stream of light known as the Himalayan Tradition.
This workshop will be an introduction to the Dhammapada. Rather than purely a lecture, the workshop will be interactive and include opportunities for introspection, discussion, and practice.
If there is sufficient interest after this first session, we may turn this workshop into a series of workshops so we can go through all of the teachings, one by one.
About the workshop leader:
Randall Krause (Mokshadeva) is a Senior Teacher and Mentor in the Himalayan Yoga Meditation Tradition. He spent years learning closely from Swami Veda Bharati, and time personally attending to Swamiji in India and elsewhere. He has taught the Himalayan Tradition in the USA, Europe, India (at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama), and in Thailand and Taiwan.
Randall is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider and so attendees may count the time spent at this workshop toward their Yoga Alliance continuing yoga education requirements.
In addition to his yoga teaching, Randall has practiced law and mediation, and served as a Personal Coach. Randall has a B.A. in Psychology, a professional law degree (JD), a M.A. in Interdisciplinary Consciousness Studies, and a Certificate in Yoga Philosophy. In addition, recently he received certification as a Sage-ing Leader—to help seniors develop and live their Inner Sage rather than simply age-ing.
