Shrine to Mother Divine

By the kindness of an anonymous donor, we are now in the process of establishing a shrine to the Divine Mother in our Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama.  The shrine will be next to where the present crystal Shivalinga is luminously established.

Mt. Kailash

Kailash is a sacred most, the most sacred place, of four religions – Hinduism, Buddhism, then one religion about which most people do not know called Jain religion – it was founded by a great teacher named Mahabirar who was at the same time that the Buddha was teaching in India, but that religion has not spread because it is a very very pure and ascetic religion so not many people know about it because you follow many many rules of purity – and Mt. Kailash is also, of course, the sacred most place for the people of the Bon-po, the pre-Buddhist religion of Tibet, of which there are still many followers, and some of the Tibetan Buddhism is also a mixture with the influence of Bon-po.

How to Prevent Future September 11ths

It was a bright, sunny, but a solemn day on September 11th of this year in Chicago.  Communities across the United States were commemorating the anniversary of the horrific terrorist attacks of one year ago, in their own unique ways.  Swami Veda Bharati’s talk in Chicago this year held a special meaning to those who attended.  Both the students of Himalayan Tradition as well as others came that evening to hear Swami Veda Bharati’s message and his guidance.  People came to receive not only Swamiji’s wisdom and guidance for personal growth, but they also came with questions about the terrorist attacks of September 11th.  Questions such as “What can we learn from nine-eleven?” “What can we do to avoid such a tragedy in future?” and “What must we do to promote world peace?”
