The movements you experience are due to warps and blockages in the nadis, or subtle energy channels of the energy body or Pranamaya Kosha. These knots and kinks in the flow are the result of mental and emotional disturbances that perturb the flow of prana.

It is a truth-seeking query concerning the significance of life or existence in general. "Why are we born?", "What is life all about?", and "What is the purpose of existence?” To discern the retort Buddha forfeited his realm and got enlightened (path towards moksha). It was the brutal warrior Ashoka unassailable expanding his realm by waging a bitterly destructive war against the state of Kalinga. After witnessing the mass deaths of the war to discern the retort he forfeited his realm and got enlightened (path towards moksha).

Memories of My First Meeting with Swamiji and His Impact in My Life I was about eight years old when we met and my life was changed forever! Beginning of story: It was a long time ago in a densely populated village in a far away country in the Caribbean; the day was sunny with sweet breezes blowing softly in from the sea. Unfortunately, rather than enjoying this gloriousness I spent yet another day in deep sorrow, missing my Papa and praying that God should take my life, so that I can be with Papa in Heaven. 3 February, 2014 @ 6:37 pm
The question about past grief and trauma is a very important one, as there are very few people who do not carry a lot of heavy baggage from the past. The goal of meditation is a peaceful, still, quiet, absolutely crystal clear mind.
The Gifts of Silence

A sadhaka’s record of her inner journey during a vow of ten day silence. This past December I took on a vow of silence for ten days at SRSG. I had prepared for this mentally a few weeks before arriving by asking myself to not expect anything. I had never taken on a vow of silence before and I didn’t know what to expect or how to prepare for it quite frankly. So the best attitude seemed to be one of openness and a willingness to discover what the experience would bring me.

There is a theory that we each have a limited number of breaths and that once those are gone your time here on earth is done. This is the reason that many yogis work so diligently to prolong each and every breath. What if we were to apply this same theory to the number of words we each have to "spend" during our time here?
