Our Beloved Swami Veda Bharati’s 90th Birthday Celebration

Our beloved Swami Veda Bharati’s 90th Birthday (24 March 2023) comes as a moment of loving remembrance and marks the beginning of a new era for all of Swamiji’s devotees, initiates and students. Swami Ritavan Bharati has named this new era as the ‘Decade of Loving Transformation: 2023-2033’, until Swamiji’s centenary birthday celebration in 2033, which would be marked by a large gathering at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama (SRSG) ashram.
AHYMSIN Sangha Gathering 2023 – A Global Family Celebration

With Guru’s Grace, we were recently blessed with the Lord Ganesha’s blessings who removed all obstacles for all our global family members to finally return home at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama (SRSG) for the AHYMSIN Sangha Gathering from 12-25 February, 2023. This was our first biggest event at SRSG since 2016, and it was heartwarming to see everyone once again after such a long gap of many years. As many as 180 people from 22 countries joined the gathering at SRSG this year. Many members of the AHYMSIN Spiritual Committee and AHYMSIN Executive Committee, senior teachers, AHYMSIN centre leaders, and family members from all over the world came home for this joyous occasion. Some members had not been to the ashram for as many as 12 years. It was a beautiful gathering of family that is a celebration rooted in our connection with guru and each other, through our mantras, meditation and our practices.
Car Driving

You know, I come from Canada. And where I’m from, to drive a car, you have to do a very formal course. It’s a 13-month course. It might be the same in your countries also, but it’s not the same all over the world. So you have 2 parts in your driving course. You have the theory. And you have the practice. So, where I’m from you have 5 sessions of theory for total of 10 hours, where you learn the functioning of car, where is the steering wheel, what is the gas valve, break paddle, the road signs, the rules and regulation, etiquette, etc. You know where the priority is, is not, etc. And then, you have the practice where you actually sit in the car, and practice driving.

We are delighted to share that Swami Veda Bharati ji’s newest publications titled “Signs of Spiritual Progress”, "You and Your Emotions" and a reprint of "Superconscious Meditation" were released on the sacred occasion of the Maha-Shivaratri during the AHYMSIN Sangha Gathering 2023 by Swami Ritavan Bharati, our Ashram Pramukha and Spiritual Guide, along with Shi Hong ji, Yoong ji and Idriss ji. The occasion was also graced by Sadhana Mishra ji and Narendra Pushkarna ji.
What is AHYMSIN Sangha?

As we all know, AHYMSIN was envisaged and founded by our beloved Swami Veda as a spiritual family. He emphasized this many times. It is a family not an institution or an organization. So, it is a spiritual family to learn, practice, and spread the teachings of the sages of the Himalayas as interpreted by Gurudeva Swami Rama. It is a lineage, a tradition as Swami Veda summed up beautifully in his guru prayer.

Swamiji conceived and later initiated AHYMSIN between 2005 to 2007, though the seeds may have been sown much earlier. It was officially registered in April 2007 at SRSG.
Lord Ganesha: The Lord of the Ganas Within

So, how do we understand Ganesha / Ganapati, and why is it beneficial to invoke him? Gana means “a group.” And isha means “the lord,” who is the leader of that group, that community. Whenever there is a summation, a company, a collectivity, Ganesha is the ruler. For example, Ganesha is the leader of the pancha jnanindriyas and the pancha karmindriyas. Who rules these ten ganas? Ganesha!
Choosing Your Mental Diet

Once in a while, I peek at some of the made-for-TV premium cable series, and am usually amazed at the graphic violence, hatred, greed, and blatant sexuality displayed in those programs. I understand, the cable companies want an audience and this sort of stuff attracts viewers, like a street fight attracts a crowd, and yet, “is this what I want to fill my mind with?” I ask myself.
